September 14, 2019 @ 11:00 am - 3:30 pm£55 – £60
Bird of Prey Photography Day – 14th September 2019
Your chance to get that perfect Bird of Prey shot that you’ve been hoping for!
The day begins at 11am, with 90 minutes of photography time, during which our falconry team will fly, pose and perch a range of birds of prey. The team will include birds which are not normally seen and flown, to allow you the exclusivity of getting a shot our other visitors can’t. You will then break at 12.30pm for a tasty lunch in our Tearoom before a further 2 hours with the falconry team, and a different range of birds. The day will end at 3.30pm. You are welcome to stay in the Arboretum until closing time if you wish, and can arrive from our opening time of 10am.
This is a ticket only event. Tickets are £60, or £55 for Season Ticket holders. This ticket includes access to the Arboretum and lunch in the Tearoom. Numbers are strictly limited.
Please see below for information on the event:
- Please meet in the Bird of Prey flying display area at 10.55am. You are welcome to arrive at the Tearoom from 10am, but we recommend that you arrive at 10.40am at the latest to give you time to travel across the Arboretum to the Bird of Prey Centre.
- We recommend that you wear stout footwear and dress according to the weather conditions.
- Lunch will be served at the Tearoom at 12.30pm – the menu for this event is: a bowl of soup of the day, 1/2 round of sandwiches with a choice of tasty cold fillings on fresh white or brown bread, a slice of a selection of delicious cake, and a cup of tea, coffee, cappuccino or latte. Please advise the Tearoom staff of any essential dietary requirements when you arrive in the morning. Please ensure you leave the Tearoom in sufficient time to return to the Bird of Prey Centre to begin the afternoon session at 1.30pm.
- The day will finish at around 3.30pm. You are welcome to use the Arboretum (public areas only) until closing time at 5pm
