MAY 2008
The following
trees are now in flower : Magnolias, Cherries,
Lilacs, Mountain Snowdrop Tree and various ornamental
trees. The Bluebells are in full bloom in time for
our Blossom and Bluebell Tour on
Friday 16th May
at 1.00pm, join us for a leisurely
walk!! The Arboretum looks and
smells fantastic.
Sadly in the recent winds we lost
three rare Pine Trees all from
Carolyn's Walk. We hope to
replace these shortly for future
generations!! We shall be
planting 90 extra trees in the
shelter belts around the Arboretum
to replace ones that have been lost
over recent years.
